In this session you will dive into the immersive learning environment created by Omar Santos called WebSploit Labs. WebSploit Labs is designed to provide comprehensive training in Cybersecurity Ethical Hacking, specifically focusing on Penetration Testing, Bug Bounties, and ethical Hacking. Omar is the lead and co-founder of the DEF CON Red Team Village where he introduced WebSploit Labs to create capture-the-flag (CTF) challenges. This session will introduce you to the rich features of WebSploit Labs, including intentionally vulnerable applications, an extensive toolset, and a vast collection of over 9,000 cybersecurity resources.
We will begin by understanding the purpose and structure of WebSploit Labs. You will learn how to leverage numerous Docker containers running on top of Kali Linux or Parrot Security OS to provide a secure and controlled environment for hands-on training. This platform offers numerous intentionally vulnerable web applications, allowing you to practice and refine your skills in a safe manner. The session will then explore the wealth of tools and resources available within WebSploit Labs. You will discover an array of additional tools specifically curated to support your cybersecurity journey. These tools will empower you to conduct in-depth assessments, identify vulnerabilities, and develop effective strategies for securing web applications and to exploit other vulnerabilities such as buffer overflows, IoT hacking, and performing post exploitation techniques.
Moreover, we will highlight the extensive library of over 9,000 cybersecurity resources integrated into WebSploit Labs. These resources include documentation, tutorials, videos, scripts, and payloads, offering a wealth of knowledge and reference materials to enhance your learning experience.
